My Story
How It All Began
My love for houses started in childhood, when my mother would take me to explore old rural homes and ancient castles. After living abroad in Germany and the United States, I returned to Umbria in the 1990s and was captivated by its authenticity, landscapes, and the hidden beauty of its abandoned farmhouses.
Together with my husband - an architect and founding partner of Vinti Associati - I began exploring properties, blending his professional expertise in restoration with my sensitivity to people’s needs. What began as helping friends from abroad soon evolved into something more: becoming a trusted guide for international buyers navigating every step, from property search and legal procedures, to renovations and settling into their new homes.
Over time, I realized that buyers didn’t just need an agent or an architect - they needed someone they could trust wholeheartedly, someone local who would represent their best interests in every detail. That is how my journey began, and why I continue to do what I love today.
What they say about me
I met Elvira by chance at a friend's house. She is a rather quiet and reserved woman who is a very good listener and an even better observer. When she heard that I was looking for a house in Umbria, she offered to help me. I quickly gained confidence in her and noticed that, on the one hand, she intuitively and sensitively understands exactly what people are looking for, and at the same time she is level-headed, pragmatic, and analytical, and works very precisely.
This made it possible for me to find exactly the right house on my very first viewing trip to Italy.
Elvira understands the mentality of people who want to come to Italy. She has lived and worked in the US and Germany. And she is deeply rooted in Umbria, her home. Here she really knows all the details, culturally, geographically, personally. In the search for the right place and the right circumstances, she led me straight to the place of my dreams.
Elvira was absolutely reliable and honest throughout all phases of the purchase process and afterwards, and she showed great diplomatic skill in special negotiation situations.
When it came to practical questions about administrative procedures with authorities or utility companies, she always found a solution that would have been very difficult for me as a foreigner to find on my own, saving me time, money, and stress. She draws on her excellent network of contacts, each of whom can provide the right solution for the question at hand.
I would describe Elvira as an insider tip, but I suspect that won't remain the case for long, as more and more people outside Italy are discovering the beauty of Umbria.

From the moment we decided to buy a property in Umbria, Elvira was there for us much more than what we could have wished for. She supported us through the whole process, being consistently highly professional, thorough, and attentive to our needs. She helped us navigate the process of acquiring property as foreigners in Italy, mediating local culture and customs. She found the right professionals for us - for both the purchase, planning and construction. She is very responsive, patient and caring with all our needs and requests.
